It’s 3am. 3am. It’s 3am. Eternal. Oh-oh-oh.

So, I woke up this morning at THREE IN THE MORNING feeling a catch in my chest that made me want to cough. I am not congested, nor have I been the least bit sick at all, so I was confused as to why I felt short of breath and coughy. It felt like when you go out into freezing temperature and take a deep breath and immediately feel the urge to cough. ??? ::shrugs:: I thought maybe it was due to the drastic drop in temperature outside because it was fah-fah-fah-freeeeeezing in my room when I woke up. I also wondered if it might me the humidifier outputting too much moisture that it impaired my breathing. Whatever the cause, I couldn’t get back to sleep, so I got up took some cough suppressant and went to lay on my couch and surf the net. At 4:30 I thought I would make a go of trying to crash again until my alarm was scheduled to go off at 6:45. I did fall asleep but it wasn’t a sound sleep, so I am all groggy today and want nothing more than a nap at this moment. I just really hope I am not coming down with anything cold/chest related. ::crossed fingers—knocks on wood:: I have done so well at avoiding that crud so far this season.

Today at work the managers cooked the staff breakfast. It was really good and very nice of them. They went all out with coffee, juice, eggs, hash browns, muffins, French toast, fruit & yogurt and sausage/bacon (which I had none of-ick). It was tasty-tasty-tasty. It is also Becca’s last day at the paper. She has taken a position in Aurora, NE where she lives. I think it will be less stress, less hours and the big plus is she won’t have to commute and will have more time with her son. I am happy for her, but it stinks for us to loose another great person both in personality and in skill. :-( ::sigh:: C’est la vie. Right?

Thanksgiving will be at my mom’s house tomorrow. My mom is doing the Turkey (ick!), bread and stuffing, my grandma is doing all the side dishes (yum!) and I am in charge of dessert which I purchased last night, which will involve no baking since I can’t cook worth a doodie. Still, I think the Jell-O brand no bake cheesecakes are goooooood and will work just fine. I cleared it with everyone beforehand, so all should be happy. I know I will be. No fuss. No muss. Just the way I like it. Mom and grandma like to cook, so more power to them to do the rest of it. If I was by myself I would probably make instant cornbread stuffing and call it good. Luckily, I am where I am and have my family here. YAY!

I am looking forward to my mini-vacation having Friday and Monday off. Currently I don’t have any other plans than to put up some Christmas decorations at my place and *maybe* get my Christmas cards out. I tend to procrastinate that task. I guess we will see how ambitious I feel. My shift at Hot Topic was cancelled for Saturday, so now I have even more time than I thought. Suits me fine. The best thing will be watching “A Christmas Story” for the first time this season Sunday night on TNT! WOOT! I heart that movie!

In other news: my first shift at HT went well. It is a fun little job to have and the people are great. My feet hurt though. I guess I have to retrain them for long bouts of standing again. I also accomplished creating my first FLASH ad from the ground up this week for the website! ::pats self on back:: I had never done that before. In the past I would use a .fla file from someone else and just swap out the images and have it do the same actions. This time I did it all by myself. I hope to become more and more proficient with this software and since my company just upgraded me to CS3 Pro I have no choice BUT to become more proficient. LOL! I hope the learning comes with ease. We shall see.

So, being that it is Thanksgiving tomorrow here is my list.

The frivolous thankfuls: Jimmy John's sandwich #6 with extra avocado, B&B Works Cherry Pie lotion, cotton candy lip smacker, medusa's eye make-up, Starbuck's green iced tea, my ultra cool red Dell laptop.

The serious thankfuls:
I am thankful for my mom. She basically rocks in all aspects of being a human being. I am thankful for my grandma -- she is so good to me and I love her oodles. I am thankful for *ALL* of my family and I am thankful that they are healthy and happy. I am thankful for my health. I am thankful for having my apartment and all the nice things inside it. I am thankful my car is running nicely. I am thankful I have a job within my degree that I like and is exciting and constantly challenging me. I am thankful for my awesome friends (the ones in real life and in virtual life) because they make my life awesome. I am thankful I have money in the bank. I am thankful for the doggies: Watson & Jasmine. I am thankful for being totally secure in who I am and what I stand for. I am thankful for --- well --- my life.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

P.S. Do you totally remember that song I used as my blog title? By KLF? Yeah. 90s music at its finest! LOL!
